About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work collaboratively with Program Director and Associate Program Directors on administrative, non-clinical functions for residency/fellowship educational programs
- Support development, planning, governance, and oversight of educational programs, students, and residents
- Interpret and apply ACGME, Common, and specialty-specific program requirements, policies, and procedures
- Manage annual recruitment processes
- Proctor and coordinate In Training Exams
- Coordinate residency/fellowship events including orientation, graduation, wellness, retreats, recruitment, and welcome events
- Develop resident handbooks, graduation commencement books, and annual awards; coordinate event venues
- Coordinate didactic classes and conference attendance
- Manage resident, faculty, and program evaluation processes
- Coordinate Program Evaluation Committee, Clinical Competency Committee, Annual Program Evaluations, and other residency committees
- Liaise with Finance regarding Medicare cost reports and resident rotations
- Manage compliance and documentation for outside resident/fellow rotators
- Manage the New Innovations Electronic Residency System for resident activity tracking and evaluation
- Oversee program software systems including WebAds, GMETrack, FREIDA, ERAS, Thalamus, and NRMP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Health Administration, education, or business
- 2 years' experience as a residency program coordinator in a Graduate Medical Education facility
- High level of specialized software and program accreditation requirements experience
- Proficient knowledge of Graduate Medical Education residency program coordination process
- Proficient knowledge of ACGME Accreditation requirements
- Skills in leadership and personnel management appropriate to program complexity
- High level of understanding of accreditation and residency software systems
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Complete familiarity with computers and database management
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to teach/mentor other coordinators
- Discretion and good judgment due to confidential material
- Minimum of 10 education credits completed as defined by TAGME certification process
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.; frequent sitting/standing and keyboard use
