Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
  • Active RN license required in state of practice
  • Minimum of two years Med/Surg/Tele RN experience
  • Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice
  • Cultural awareness and ability to connect effectively with diverse people
  • Effective communication and respectful delegation skills
  • Ability to assess patient ailments and injuries and implement treatment plans
  • Knowledge of child and adult education techniques
  • Knowledge of medication administration and prescription practices
  • Knowledge of discharge planning and follow-up care
  • Knowledge of patient assessment tools, nursing diagnosis, and clinical judgment
  • Health information documentation skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs.
  • Frequent to continuous standing and walking
  • Ability to perform role-specific activities including kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR
