About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Negotiate incoming contracts focused on technology products, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS, to secure advantageous terms
Analyze software and technology platforms to understand usage, cost drivers, and ROI
Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams regarding procurement of technology tools
Partner with internal teams to develop strategies for renewals and new technology requirements
Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors
Provide RFI and RFP support to internal stakeholders
Partner with IT, Legal, and Security to ensure terms meet legal, regulatory, data security, and privacy requirements
Assist with vendor qualification and onboarding processes
Identify and drive potential cost savings
Build and sustain vendor relationships while managing negotiations and delivering savings and value

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years in a technical procurement role
SaaS experience required
Self-starting, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience driving six-figure, multi-year contracts to completion
Solid interpersonal and rapport building abilities
Strong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements
Technically savvy, including a demonstrated high level of proficiency in core SaaS technologies and trends
Familiarity with Zip and Ironclad a plus
Ability to demonstrate a strategic mindset to enable persuasive value conversations with vendors at an executive level
Strong operational business understanding of technology supply chain, including purchase ordering, expense reporting, procurement/sourcing, provisioning and reclamation, renewals, and contract management
