About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Production Supervisor in the efficient operation of the department
  • Focus on safety, quality, reliability, and productivity
  • Take over the Production Supervisor’s duties in their absence
  • Keep MDI and hour x hour boards updated
  • Complete the shift turnover sheet
  • Ensure the schedule is adhered to and escalate issues to the Group Manager
  • Assist the Group Manager with daily reports as needed
  • Submit SIOs and corrective actions each day
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
  • Process-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with all personnel
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions immediately to appropriate supervision
  • Ability to conform with plant safety regulations and OSHA guidelines
  • Ability to hold self and other associates accountable to JELD-WEN policies and procedures
