About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate propane and electric forklift vehicles to transport material throughout warehouse and production areas
Assist with loading and unloading products onto semi-trucks
Follow safety rules and instructions while operating the forklift
Perform start-of-shift preventative maintenance inspections on the forklift
Move raw and finished products to designated areas
Use a utility knife to assist in unpackaging raw materials and products
Lift products over 50 pounds and perform or assist with team lifts when required
Visually inspect materials before loading semi-trucks and box trucks
Verify shipping labels for customer name, size, style, and handing
Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished products
Assist in staging inventory and raw materials for the next day’s production

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of a high school education
One year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving or forklift operation
Ability to read and write English
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Ability to use simple math
Licensed forklift truck operator
Ability to operate propane and electric forklift vehicles
Ability to lift heavy product weighing 50-plus pounds multiple times per shift
Ability to perform standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day
Required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, plus ability to adjust focus
Must follow all safety rules and instructions
