About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform warranty service work on various window and door products
- Inspect JELD-WEN window and door products to identify root causes of service issues
- Complete daily assigned warranty field service tasks
- Take quality photos and report accurate, complete product and construction issues
- Maintain tools and service vehicles in proper and safe working order
- Operate company service vehicles safely and considerately
- Become familiar with JELD-WEN products in the coverage region
- Follow JELD-WEN policies and procedures while working safely, professionally, and efficiently
- Travel overnight, potentially up to 40%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside in or near Sacramento, Stockton, and East Bay Areas
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or HSED
- Previous experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred
- Field service technician experience or experience in the construction trades is a plus
- Must have carpentry skills and use hand and power tools and measuring devices
- Ability to lift 70 lbs., climb, lift, pull, and safely perform tasks on a ladder, scaffolding, or other raised devices
- Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices
- Strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Must have solid safety awareness
- Ability to be dependable, self-motivated, problem-solve, and contribute to a positive team environment
- Must be willing to travel weekly with overnight stays and work overtime
- Flexible working hours required
