About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide warranty service for installed windows and doors
- Perform warranty service work on various products
- Inspect JELD-WEN window and door products to identify the root cause of service issues
- Complete daily assigned warranty field service tasks
- Take quality photos and report accurate, complete product and construction issues
- Maintain tools and service vehicles in proper and safe working order
- Operate company service vehicles safely and considerately
- Become familiar with all JELD-WEN products in the coverage region
- Follow JELD-WEN policies and procedures while operating safely, professionally, and efficiently
- Travel weekly with overnight stays and work overtime as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicant must reside in or near the Greater Willamette Valley Area, Oregon
- Possible overnight travel up to 40%
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Weekly travel with overnight stays and overtime is required
- Flexible working hours
- High School Diploma or HSED
- Solid safety awareness
- Carpentry skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools and measuring devices
- Ability to lift 70 lbs., climb, lift, pull, and safely perform tasks on a ladder, scaffolding, or other raised devices
- Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, able to problem-solve, and able to contribute to a positive team environment
- Previous experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred
- Field service technician experience or construction trades experience is a plus
