About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Healthcare Brokers
  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in expertise, service excellence, and collaboration
  • Manage and grow a varied portfolio of Healthcare clients
  • Maintain strong client retention and identify portfolio development opportunities
  • Place large and complex healthcare risks using established insurer market relationships
  • Drive new business activity by converting warm leads and developing a personal network
  • Contribute to division-wide growth targets
  • Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and risk presentations
  • Assess cover, claims history, and exposures accurately
  • Build and sustain effective broker–insurer relationships
  • Ensure competitive terms and long-term partnership opportunities
  • Deliver a high-quality client experience and respond promptly to queries
  • Accurately record all communications
  • Support the strategic development of the Healthcare division
  • Help establish a well-known, respected Healthcare brand within the market

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive MedMal Broking experience across both Retail & Wholesale clients
  • Proven experience managing, coaching, or mentoring Brokers
  • Strong relationships with key insurers and underwriters in the Medmal/ Healthcare market
  • Confidence placing large or complex risks and navigating challenging renewals
  • A personal book of business (ideally), with potential to move once out of covenant
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CII) or working towards (preferred)
  • Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to growth
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience using Acturis (desirable)
  • Exceptional communication skills and natural leadership ability
  • Deep technical knowledge of Healthcare risks
  • Strong market relationships
  • Confidence placing larger and more complex cases
