About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain the organization-wide compliance risk register, including country- and award-level risk tiering for PHFFA risk analysis
  • Track risk assessment completion, mitigation actions, owners, due dates, and overdue items
  • Maintain data underlying risk classification and support scheduled reassessments following operational or regulatory changes
  • Maintain logs of upcoming contractual actions triggering PHFFA standard provisions
  • Assemble inputs for compliance status, sub-recipient monitoring, and leadership briefing reports
  • Own the structure and day-to-day upkeep of CMCD Microsoft Teams sites and SharePoint libraries
  • Establish and maintain an authoritative compliance resource repository with document control and retention schedules
  • Develop navigation aids, quick-reference guides, decision trees, indexes, FAQs, and guidance notes
  • Support cross-office compliance knowledge exchange and recommend improvements based on resource usage and gaps
  • Support development, updating, scheduling, delivery, and completion tracking of compliance training
  • Maintain training records and follow up on outstanding attendance and onboarding requirements
  • Support audits of training content and summarize participant feedback and knowledge-check results
  • Monitor U.S. Government sources for regulatory and guidance changes and summarize practical implications for Jhpiego
  • Track updates to risk frameworks, policies, templates, sub-award language, and training content
  • Maintain waiver-process and affirmative-duty-exemption reference materials
  • Prepare recurring compliance reports and dashboards from risk, training, and due-diligence trackers
  • Support leadership briefings and draft accessible internal compliance communications
  • Maintain inspection-ready documentation packages and support mock inspections and readiness checks
  • Track action items and document compliance progress in award reporting cycles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in international development, public administration, law, business administration, knowledge management, or a related field
  • 3–4 years of experience supporting compliance, grants and contracts administration, risk management, audit, or a comparable function, ideally with USG-funded awards
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government assistance requirements, including 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance, standard provisions, sub-recipient monitoring, and flow-down obligations
  • Familiarity with Department of State foreign assistance requirements is an advantage
  • Experience organizing and administering Microsoft Teams and SharePoint sites, including site structure, permissions, metadata, and version control
  • Experience building and maintaining trackers, registers, and dashboards and following up with dispersed stakeholders
  • Ability to accurately read regulatory and guidance material and translate it into plain-language summaries
  • Strong writing and editing skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with grants or contracts management systems is an advantage
  • Ability to work across multiple offices, time zones, and cultures and manage competing priorities and short deadlines
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive compliance information
  • Excellent oral and written command of English
  • Successful candidate subject to a pre-employment background check
