About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support execution of the business development strategy for foundations, corporations, and other funding entities
  • Cultivate and steward foundation and corporate relationships
  • Help articulate Jhpiego’s value proposition, impact, and comparative advantage
  • Build and manage a foundation and corporate donor pipeline
  • Research and support innovative partnership models, including co-funding, social enterprise, and blended or innovative financing
  • Track partnership plans, performance metrics, and revenue forecasts; flag needed adjustments to the Director
  • Collaborate across Jhpiego to design and deliver partnership strategies and donor pitches
  • Monitor philanthropic, corporate, and global development funding trends and identify actionable opportunities
  • Support coordination across teams for integrated Foundation/Corporation business development
  • Enhance Jhpiego’s visibility and positioning with foundation and corporate partners
  • Represent Jhpiego in forums, networks, and platforms to build relationships and support partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to Jhpiego’s reputation as a trusted, innovative partner for funders
  • Provide guidance and support to teammates involved in partnership development
  • Work with technical, programmatic, and country teams to align partnership activities with strategic priorities and country contexts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Five years of progressive experience in business development, resource mobilization, or institutional fundraising
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, subject to the JHU equivalency formula
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and business development tracking tools
