About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage an established sales territory, including selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable tasks
- Achieve sales objectives and execute territory management strategies
- Promote current and new products and implement promotions
- Conduct in-store tastings and service accounts
- Develop support through routine contact with key decision makers
- Accurately deliver and check orders into accounts
- Place products on shelves or displays for maximum exposure
- Merchandise products correctly, rotate stock, and display accurate pricing and point-of-sale materials
- Resolve ordering or shipping needs within the designated territory
- Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
- Provide photographs of display, cold box, or shelf reset executions upon management request
- Communicate customer requests to management
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly logs of accounts visited
- Arrive on time for work, appointments, meetings, and other work-related functions
- Complete comprehensive training to eventually manage an independent sales territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma required
- 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
- Inventory control experience is a plus
- Forklift certification is a benefit
- Ability to lift and carry 40+ pound cases of product
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Valid driver's license and compliance with company driving record and automobile insurance requirements
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure
- Goal-oriented, focused, and assertive, requiring little direction or supervision
- Proven track record of strong sales in previous/current work experience
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal talents
- Regular, consistent, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance
- Ability to travel within established geographic areas as necessary
- Must complete and pass a criminal background check
