About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bridge novel machine designs and production for large industrial machines and major subassemblies
  • Influence machine designs early, driving DFM/DFA across manufacturing equipment
  • Optimize machine designs, build sequences, and assembly processes
  • Develop and manage tooling, fixtures, and lifting and rigging plans
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams on continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and corrective actions
  • Support mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic integration, machine testing, and factory acceptance testing before shipment
  • Coordinate facility needs and vendors for building maintenance and infrastructure upgrades
  • Maintain machine build instructions, multi-level BOMs, and SOPs
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for production equipment and facility systems
  • Track, analyze, and report manufacturing and facilities performance using build hours, cycle time, first-pass test yield, and other KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. Citizenship and/or US Permanent Residency is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant STEM field
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a capital equipment or industrial machinery environment
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing production processes for large machines or complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience with heavy assembly, including crane operations, rigging, and large-scale fixturing
  • Proficiency with multiple CAD software packages, PDM systems, and large assembly management
  • Ability to manage facility infrastructure and vendor relationships
  • Ability to track and analyze production metrics with statistical analysis and present results to multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. export authorization or eligibility to access controlled items, if applicable
  • Preferred: experience with novel manufacturing methods
  • Preferred: exposure to additive manufacturing
  • Preferred: experience with machine commissioning, FAT/SAT, or field installation support
