About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive product development through design, testing, data analysis, and project management
- Influence products from concept through manufacturing
- Lead design improvements and implement engineering changes
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional teams
- Maintain understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to mechanical aspects of water-cooled chillers
- Conceptualize and implement mechanical design ideas into products
- Work with the design and drafting group to generate layout concepts and system configurations
- Contribute to on-time program completion and report project status
- Generate technical documentation and write technical documents
- Prepare and help execute test programs for mechanical sub-components and systems
- Analyze, design, modify, and troubleshoot mechanical sub-components and subsystems based on test data
- Apply mechanical codes including UL, CE, PED, ASHRAE, and ASME
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes and design to standard manufacturing processes
- Pursue continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; or Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years experience in a related field
- Basic understanding of fluid and thermal principles, specifically the refrigeration cycle and related oil lubrication and cooling
- Proficient with 3D CAD software
- Able to travel up to 10%
- Strong product development background in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
