About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, estimation and quotation of retail security solutions across CCTV, Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) and RFID projects
Work closely with sales and project delivery teams
Review customer requirements, drawings, layouts and project documentation
Prepare accurate project estimates using the Sales & Install (SAI) platform
Develop and maintain detailed Excel-based estimation worksheets
Validate quantities, material requirements, labour assumptions and pricing accuracy
Support technical proposals, quotations and customer submissions
Liaise with sales, engineering and project teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements
Ensure estimates align with customer specifications, internal standards and project objectives
Maintain organised project documentation and estimation records
Support continuous improvement of estimation processes and tools
Deliver high-quality estimates and presales support within agreed deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 8 years' experience in estimation, engineering support, presales engineering or a similar technical role
Familiarity with CCTV system design and estimation
Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create and manage detailed costing spreadsheets
Ability to read, interpret and analyse PDF drawings, layouts and project documentation
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proactive, customer-focused approach and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems beneficial
Knowledge of Sensormatic Solutions products and technologies beneficial
Experience using Sales & Install (SAI) estimation software beneficial
Experience with Bluebeam Revu for drawing review and mark-ups beneficial
Working knowledge of AutoCAD (ACAD) beneficial
Experience within retail security, low-voltage systems or electronic security industries beneficial
