About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design integrated electronic security systems including CCTV, ACS, IDS and PIDS for projects ranging from small installations to multi-million-pound enterprise solutions
- Produce detailed technical designs, system architectures, schematics, specifications and supporting documentation
- Conduct site surveys and assess customer requirements to develop compliant and cost-effective security solutions
- Collaborate with sales and project teams to support bid activities, solution development and project delivery
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout the design and implementation phases
- Liaise with customers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes
- Prepare and maintain documentation using Microsoft Office and Visio
- Review architectural, electrical and network drawings to support system design activities
- Ensure all designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards and security requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in the electronic security industry, ideally in a Design, Commissioning or Service Engineering role
- Strong technical knowledge of enterprise security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection and Perimeter Detection
- Ability to interpret architectural, electrical and network drawings
- Experience producing or supporting technical system designs and documentation
- Understanding of integrated security solutions and associated technologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Visio
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
- Qualification in Electronics Engineering, Security Engineering or a related discipline is beneficial
- Experience designing high-security or critical infrastructure environments is beneficial
- Knowledge of security system integration platforms and IP-based technologies is beneficial
- Previous experience working on large-scale enterprise security projects is beneficial
- Existing Security Clearance is beneficial
