About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure, set up, and continually validate temperature, pressure, power meters, and measuring devices
  • Program test and control sequences into data acquisition software for automated test-facility operation
  • Organize and maintain instrumentation lists and automated test protocols
  • Review test data for accuracy, validation, and comparison to expected results
  • Develop, write, and maintain equipment, facility, and engineering-test operating procedures
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting support for ongoing chiller or component testing and modification
  • Provide logistics and documentation support according to company procedures and policies
  • Assist in developing and training other employees
  • Construct and assemble new equipment and instrumentation with the Test Lab team
  • Direct test lab personnel on specific work assignments
  • Adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of equivalent practical work experience in HVAC, refrigeration, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience
  • Experience with industrial HVAC systems operations and controls, and refrigerant transfer and management
  • Understanding of HVAC technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and processes
  • Ability to review component, system, and test specifications to resolve design discrepancies
  • Ability to perform simple routine system and component calculations, selections, and write instructions to facilitate test plans
  • US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident
  • Able to work Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in HVAC, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • Preferred: 1+ years of practical experience in a technical test facility with controls and data acquisition
  • Preferred: Practical understanding and experience with MS Office Suite of basic spreadsheet utilities and word processing
  • Preferred: Ability to coordinate between Product Design and other departments to design, build, and test components and systems
