About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet customer expectations while performing quality inspections
- Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and similar competitive products
- Work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices for low-voltage equipment
- Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using laptop computers or hard copy
- Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule
- Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation using a laptop computer
- Make minor repairs and programming changes under direct authorized supervision
- Complete assigned inspections on time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems
- Texas Department of Insurance requires RME-I license for this position
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State and Local codes
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals
- Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage
- Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems
- Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs
- Ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet; work within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, and difficult positions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends
- Willingness to travel out of town
- High level of customer service
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
- Flexibility for on-call schedules and flexible hours
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
