About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support clients in the Appleton/Green Bay, Wisconsin territory
  • Sell Ethicon surgical devices and solutions, with a focus on hemostasis and wound closure platforms
  • Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in operating room settings
  • Manage assigned physicians and hospital institution accounts within a sales territory
  • Attain sales forecasts for assigned accounts and territory
  • Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on account sales opportunities
  • Understand and demonstrate proper product use to clinicians in operating room environments
  • Manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology
  • Execute concise, professional, ethical, compliant, and persuasive sales cycles
  • Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods
  • Analyze data, monitor market information, and perform business planning
  • Build customer relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, authorized distributors, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct customer education seminars as appropriate
  • Comply with safe-behavior standards and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Preferred: Sales performance, account targeting, daily action planning, and collaboration with peers, marketing, Strategic Account Managers, distributor representatives, and KOLs
  • Preferred: Strong time management and planning skills
  • Preferred: Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, including operating room sales
  • Preferred: Experience selling products to highly educated/high-profile customer bases
  • Preferred: Experience developing new, innovative markets
  • Preferred: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Preferred: Team orientation
