About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and sell Ethicon’s comprehensive surgical devices and solutions, with a focus on hemostasis and wound closure platforms
  • Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in operating room settings
  • Manage an assigned sales territory covering physicians and hospital institutions in the Appleton/Green Bay area
  • Attain sales forecasts for assigned accounts and territory
  • Set priorities and make business decisions based on sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate proper product use to clinicians in the operating room
  • Conduct sales presentations and execute the selling cycle using trained methods
  • Analyze data, monitor market information, and perform business planning
  • Build customer relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, authorized distributors, and key opinion leaders
  • Conduct customer education seminars as appropriate
  • Comply with healthcare, safety, ethical, and product standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate proper product use in the operating room
  • Ability to manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology
  • Ability to execute compliant, professional, ethical, and persuasive sales processes
  • Ability to analyze data and stay updated about market information
  • Product, procedure, and clinical knowledge
  • Preferred: Sales performance, account targeting, daily action planning, collaboration, time management, planning, hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, operating room sales, product sales to highly educated/high-profile customers, innovative market development, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
