About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Demonstrate the value and impact of the Impella® product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff
- Advise Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons in patient selection
- Partner on training and attend implants
- Provide comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of Impella® devices
- Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction, including clinical demos and ongoing training
- Collect clinically relevant data and complete outcome reviews with customers
- Communicate activities with team members and sales counterparts
- Develop extensive understanding of product and therapy applications
- Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications
- Utilize Integrity Selling to change the standard of care and drive Impella usage
- Set up one-to-one physician meetings and conversations
- Host physician and staff dinner programs
- Collaborate with sales counterparts on awareness programs and franchise activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or Reg Tech patient support in an ICU, CVICU, Cath Lab or Cardiovascular OR experience
- 2+ years of commercial sales experience related to products and technologies utilized in the cardiovascular space
- Ability to advance sales process with customers
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Availability to take call for emergent patient care
- Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings
- Ability to travel 50% within territory
- Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry
- Hands on Impella support experience strongly preferred
- Experience as an Abiomed per diem preferred
- RN License strongly preferred
- ECMO experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to advocate with physicians
- Experience delivering clinical training
