About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, develop, and directly manage a team of Field Reimbursement Managers
- Execute the PECS Field Reimbursement Manager strategy across the Northeast region
- Lead a regionally aligned team of up to 10 direct reports
- Maximize access and fulfillment impact for prescribed patients starting or staying on therapy
- Develop short- and long-term strategic plans and manage execution of related tactics
- Establish team culture, drive accountability, manage FRM performance, and achieve team goals
- Coach and develop FRMs to use data insights and account-management competencies to address access barriers
- Support identification and resolution of patient obstacles involving Buy & Bill, medical benefit, AOB, specialty pharmacy, and pharmacy benefit
- Build relationships and collaborate with Sales District Managers, SCG, Franchise Marketing, Brand, and other partners
- Work in the field with minimal supervision
- Manage and allocate budget in alignment with team objectives
- Foster communication across Patient Access, Pharmacy Access, Medical, Market Access, Brand Marketing, and Field Sales
- Adhere to the JJIM Credo, HCC Guidelines, and FRM Rules of Engagement
- Report to the Field Director, Field Access & Affordability Solutions within PECS
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Minimum of 8 years healthcare business related experience required
- Knowledge of account management, managed care, and reimbursement principles, including pharmacy and medical benefit/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorization, office operations, and appeals processes
- 3+ years of direct people management
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and performance success in prior roles
- A valid Driver's License in one of the 50 United States
- Reside within the geography or be willing to relocate to it
- MBA or other related graduate level degree preferred
- Concentration in biopharmaceutical market access, field reimbursement, or managed markets preferred
- Neuroscience disease state or therapeutic market experience preferred
- Experience developing and executing customer-oriented strategies
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally in a matrix environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI preferred
- Experience building team AI literacy and confidence preferred
- Travel up to 75% of the time
