About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Global Master Data Management platform data landscape
- Continuously assess and harmonize data needs to support business objectives
- Build and configure MDM platforms, workflows, data models, and agents
- Deliver integrations and data distribution to downstream systems
- Oversee availability, security, performance, releases, patching, access, and environment health of MDM platforms
- Own strategic processes, projects, and day-to-day operations across MDM data, systems, and infrastructure
- Support Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, and Corporate Systems and their connections to enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and business solutions
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Global MDM Engineering/Ops associates
- Ensure team members develop the technical and business skills needed to meet objectives
- Maintain partner relationships and develop MDM knowledge and process understanding
- Establish and maintain metrics to drive process improvements across MDM domains and environments
- Make independent decisions and present process or policy recommendations to DePuy Synthes Information Technologies leadership
- Partner with internal teams on requirements definition and gathering
- Lead systems improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and operational performance
- Engage executive leaders, directors, and managers in planning and executing improvement efforts
- Support education, training, tool development, and enhancement for MDM application data access
- Communicate issues and opportunities to the next management level
- Ensure applicable health, safety, environmental, regulatory, policy, and procedure compliance
- Perform other assigned duties
- Scale the MDM ecosystem into a global best-in-class medallion architecture supporting enterprise applications and AI environments
- Enable a high-quality data environment and data-driven organizational insights
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS or BA degree; MBA or MS also listed
- Minimum 8+ years of work experience required, preferably in a related field
- Prior people management experience required
- Experience with MDM platform technologies, including SAP MDG and Reltio, for implementation and support
- Experience creating Enterprise or Business Master Data Management strategies supporting multifaceted data architecture, data governance, and AI data readiness
- Track record of leading or mentoring teams to achieve quality and process improvements
- Experience developing training materials and instructing others at all levels
- Strong project/account management and testing strategy skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment with tight timelines
- Proven success working with outsource partners and leading projects on time and on budget
- Experience with Master Data Management, Supply Chain, R&D, Corporate, and Commercial Systems
- Strong business acumen and technical skills
- Strong organizational, communication, social, and interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented problem-solving and resolution skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure and as part of a project team
- Ability to harmonize with senior management and exercise independent discernment in business decisions
- Preferred: Analyst experience; call center support structure/process experience; SFE or LEAN/Six Sigma process improvement tools
- Proficiency in query and report-writing tools, Incentive Compensation Systems, and PC software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Windows
