About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute projects that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time and cost, and improve quality of execution within the assigned department
  • Use project management methodologies, including FPX
  • Apply process excellence methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma
  • Complete basic project and product development tasks
  • Write and/or verify specifications
  • Maintain product and process documentation
  • Test processes, equipment, raw materials, and products
  • Validate equipment and processes
  • Assist in creating concepts and designs or approaches for new products, processes, and test methods
  • Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results
  • Comply with environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
  • Work under the guidance of a mentor in an assigned department and/or project

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Industrial, Mechanical, or related fields
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher across all college coursework
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university and in good academic standing
  • Completed at least two years of studies
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Excellent ability to write in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • AutoCAD
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment visa sponsorship
  • Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, including H-1B or green card
  • Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT generally do not meet program requirements unless eligible for an alternative long-term status without company sponsorship
  • Previous internship/co-op and/or academic research experience preferred
  • Extracurricular experience in a student association/organization is a plus
  • Visio and Minitab knowledge highly desirable
  • Ability to assess issues and opportunities, establish priorities, and act with a sense of urgency
  • Ineligibility for severance
