About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Direct end-to-end leadership for an important Packaging Category portfolio within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine
Develop and execute end-to-end Packaging Procurement strategies aligned with business and sector needs
Lead sourcing strategy, negotiations, contract implementation, and performance against established targets
Analyze cost drivers, risks, mitigation plans, analytics, and category value creation
Manage supplier relationships and communicate changes to category strategy
Execute joint collaborative initiatives and monitor supplier contract negotiations
Manage relationships with senior supplier executives
Manage relationships with senior internal stakeholders in Supply Chain and the Technical Community
Influence supplier selection for upcoming new product developments and introductions
Manage and prioritize Procurement segment-specific initiatives
Provide updates to Global Procurement Leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of a Bachelor’s / University or equivalent degree is required
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices
High proficiency with core Procurement skills, including supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, and Procurement Excellence
Strong Procurement background, preferably in the Packaging field
Expertise in contracting and understanding regulatory, legal, compliance, and commercial elements
Strong business acumen
Strong project and change management capabilities
Strong leadership, strategy-setting, communication, influencing, collaboration, and talent development skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex information confidently
Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and executing significant influencing roles
Ability to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives
Ability to drive continuous improvements
Multi-country and multi-sector experience preferred
Strong experience in Primary Packaging preferred
MBA or equivalent Master’s Degree preferred
