About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and support global deployment of SAP Quality Management capabilities integrated with NextGen QS
- Enable real-time quality event handling and non-conformance management across Source, Make, and Deliver
- Ensure satellite system integrations for release management, laboratory testing, manufacturing batch record review, and artwork key-date governance
- Enable Global Batch Traceability through a single ERP backbone and prepare for future GBT and BRH integration
- Define and govern batch determination rulesets for compliant batch usage and customer shipment
- Act as senior functional authority for Quality Management SMEs and analysts
- Own workload planning, prioritization, and delivery quality
- Provide functional leadership and coaching while ensuring solution quality and regulatory compliance
- Serve as primary functional escalation point for QM topics within Transcend
- Support solution confirmation with Global Template Owners, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory collaborators
- Lead functional testing, validation support, and hypercare activities in alignment with GxP and CSV expectations
- Resolve QM issues and incorporate lessons learned into continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial Execution, IT, Validation, and Quality Assurance teams
- Partner with system integrators and satellite system owners on compliant, auditable, and sustainable integrations
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree or equivalent experience in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience
- Extensive experience in Quality Management processes within GxP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM), including batch management, inspection processes, non-conformance handling, and release workflows
- Validated experience leading or supporting SAP implementations subject to Computer System Validation (CSV) and regulatory inspection
- Demonstrated people-management experience with accountability for functional delivery and quality outcomes
- Experience in Supply Chain, including Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Finance, Master Data, Data and Analytics
- Practical experience with ERP SAP Quality Management (QM) in J&J Innovative Medicine
- Experience with ERP SAP Quality Management business processes, including Quality Inspection, Batch Release, Supplier Qualification, and Process Validations
- ERP SAP ECC6 and/or S/4HANA knowledge and practical application
- Practical experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging environment
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Understanding of Supply Chain business process linkages across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Finance, and Master Data
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
- Experience with Comet, eLIMS, or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is an advantage
- Preferred: background in External/Third Party/Contract Manufacturing Quality, Market Quality, and/or Commercial Quality
- Preferred: experience in Master Data, Advanced Planning, Product Labelling, Materials Management, Serialization, Track & Trace, or Process Order Management
- Preferred: experience in regional/global settings or large-scale business transformation projects
- Preferred: experience with Agile software and program deployment methodology, including JIRA
- Ability to negotiate and connect with external and internal partners
- Experience collaborating with business subject-matter experts
