About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead prospecting, awareness campaigns, clinical demonstrations, and clinical advocacy efforts in the assigned region
- Lead site installation and initial case support with the sales consultant team
- Partner with Capital Equipment Selling Managers to grow the area pipeline, monitor placement utilization, and meet forecast goals
- Drive sales and adoption of the Teligen digital solution and other robotics and enabling technologies
- Maintain a validated customer sales pipeline and meet quarterly area sales forecast goals
- Execute installations through education of internal and external customers
- Demonstrate clinical and capital selling pathways for imaging, navigation, and minimally invasive surgery
- Support area business plans and strategic goals
- Support associated spinal implant sales for full platform adoption
- Partner with Commercial Education, Professional Education, and Area Sales Leadership on field education programs
- Lead regional tissue labs, product demonstrations, industry meetings, and surgeon engagements
- Deliver hospital-based onboarding for surgeons, PAs, operating room technicians, and other surgical staff
- Support field sales execution of service and repair protocols
- Influence area budgets and ensure strategic use of funding
- Use data to influence internal and external stakeholders and drive decisions
- Identify area needs, risks, and strategies to improve customer experience and platform proliferation
- Report to the US Clinical Sales Manager—Digital Spine Surgery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college, or associate degree/surgical tech/highly specialized medical training or certification plus four years of relevant experience, or at least eight years of orthopedic spine sales experience, or recently transitioned from Active-Duty Military
- Minimum of three years of spinal implant sales or equivalent orthopedic capital robotics professional selling experience
- Successful track record of selling new innovative medical devices and winning with technology
- Ability to operate in a clinical, technical, and professional sales environment with a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and business acumen skills
- Experience in data analysis
- Results orientation and ability to drive to tight timelines
- Ability to work independently and autonomously across matrix and team structures
- Ability to understand, interpret, communicate, and work in complex environments with high attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 75% domestically initially, with limited weekend work and frequent overnight stays
- Ability to work in surgeon offices, hospitals, laboratories, and operating room environments
- Must live within the assigned territory/geography
- Valid driver’s license in one of the 50 states
- Preferred: five or more years of healthcare sales, hospital/operating room, or medical device clinical experience
- Preferred: spinal pathologies and products experience
- Preferred: technical knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions
- Preferred: experience in minimally invasive spine surgery, navigation, or capital enabling technologies equipment
