About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as primary scientific and strategic business leader for two clinical-stage Prostate Cancer Programs within Data, Data Science, and AI
- Lead development and validation of novel Prostate Cancer endpoints across a variety of modalities
- Represent Data Science to Compound Teams and identify, develop, and deploy Data Science solutions
- Develop program and trial AI and real-world evidence strategies to support clinical development
- Provide subject matter expertise in prostate cancer clinical development, trial design, real-world evidence generation, and ML/AI tools
- Leverage advanced analytics, statistical models, and AI/ML with internal and external teams to uncover insights from complex datasets
- Collaborate with clinical project teams and partners in Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Commercial Data Science, Statistics, and other functions
- Evaluate and manage external partnerships leveraging new technologies, solutions, and data assets for Prostate Cancer program needs
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage internal and external partnerships, and provide technical expertise to enhance R&D success and patient impact
- Drive strategic collaborations, champion innovation, and elevate Data Science capabilities in Oncology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD or MS) in a field experienced working with high-dimensional datasets, such as Data Science, Pharmacoepidemiology, Biostatistics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, or Computer Science
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in drug development or a related discipline in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, omics, or real-world evidence, or 8 years in clinical practice with outcomes research experience
- Working knowledge of clinical oncology, including treatment paradigms, patient experience, and clinical trials
- Understanding of common data science research practices, including predictive technologies, data mining, and/or text mining
- Hands-on experience with data science use cases in R&D and strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with healthcare-related datasets, such as electronic health records, omics, or imaging datasets, including their structure, limitations, and research applications
- Prior experience working with and driving external corporate or academic partnerships
- Proven track record of managing timelines and driving key deliverables in a matrixed organization
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Preferred: Working knowledge of genitourinary clinical oncology
- Preferred: Hematology/Oncology fellowship training
- Preferred: R&D experience at a pharmaceutical company, biotech, or partner organization
- Preferred: Knowledge of regulatory science
- Up to 10% travel may be required
