About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and maintain facilities equipment, including building controls, fire protection systems, and HVAC systems
  • Perform maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of utilities equipment in an industrial, cGMP-regulated facility
  • Maintain physical structures and general electrical systems
  • Work with chillers, boilers, air handling units, exhaust ventilation, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, reheat systems, fire prevention systems, emergency power generators, water treatment, UPS, environmental controls, and employee entrance systems
  • Document all maintenance activities in the site CMMS
  • Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building upkeep repairs
  • Plan, coordinate, inspect, and perform maintenance and support project management for facility-related projects
  • Complete and record facility maintenance and controlled environmental monitoring activities on schedule
  • Participate in facilities equipment installations
  • Perform minor repairs to site infrastructure and building systems
  • Ensure building systems contractors follow EES requirements on site
  • Manage and record spare-parts inventory
  • Follow company safety policies and precautions
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or Associate Degree in a technical field such as Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, or Electrician, or equivalent skills
  • Minimum 18 months technical school or equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, or stationary engineer’s training
  • In-depth experience as a Technician in two or more disciplines: electronics, mechanics, electromechanical, or industrial
  • Refrigerant (CFC) certification through Universal or equivalent
  • Generally, 2–4 years related experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, standard operating procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
  • Ability to write reports with mathematical emphasis
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees at all levels
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the native language is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to draw and interpret statistical bar and line graphs
  • Proficiency in general shop tools and power tools
  • Ability to function in a team environment and as an independent contributor
  • PC literacy based on manufacturing equipment software and programming preferred
