About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and work with Field Service Engineers to support customer systems
  • Manage account schedules, regional schedules, and technical/engineering work
  • Install, operate, repair, modify, and provide advanced support for equipment
  • Respond to emergency service requests, troubleshoot causes, and take corrective action
  • Guide doctors, nurses, hospital biomedical engineers, Field Service Specialists, and representatives
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and maintain equipment performance and service records
  • Support equipment design changes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
  • Develop project plans for new equipment installation
  • Manage customer expectations and resolve customer satisfaction issues
  • Complete Service Management System updates and documentation
  • Process RMA returns and manage regional and personal trunk inventories
  • Provide feedback for product design improvements and support beta-site installations
  • Assist with on-the-job and regional training for Field Service Engineers
  • Participate in core teams and product design and improvement
  • Ensure assigned Field Service Engineers follow Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines
  • Serve as the regional escalation point for service delivery issues
  • Communicate business issues and opportunities to management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Vocational/Trade Certificate with preferably 4/6 years related work experience
  • Associate degree with 6 years’ experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology (preferred) field
  • Associate degree with 6 years’ experience as a biomed in hospital environment or in medical
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical, or Computer
  • Project Management and presentation skills
  • Customer service and data analysis experience
  • Leadership experience, preferably leading teams
  • English verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of service management systems is a plus
  • Strong understanding of electrophysiology/ablation market
  • Ability to travel on short notice and frequent air travel
  • Must live in short proximity of a major airport
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle with appropriate license
  • Ability to work weekends and off hours as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.; frequent standing, lifting, bending, and heavy equipment handling
  • Use of personal protective equipment and safety devices
  • Healthcare vendor credentialing as an employee of BWI
  • PC proficiency and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Knowledge of standard test equipment, including Digital Voltmeter (DVM)
  • English language verbal and written communication skills
