About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and work with Field Service Engineers supporting customer systems
  • Manage account schedules, regional schedules, and technical engineering work
  • Install, operate, repair, modify, and provide advanced support for equipment
  • Respond to emergency service requests, troubleshoot causes, and take corrective action
  • Guide doctors, nurses, hospital biomedical engineers, Field Service Specialists, and representatives
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and maintain equipment service records
  • Support equipment design changes and product improvements
  • Develop installation project plans for new equipment
  • Manage customer expectations and drive customer satisfaction
  • Complete service-management documentation and RMA processing
  • Manage regional inventories and complete required audits
  • Provide beta-site support and installations
  • Assist with on-the-job and regional training
  • Participate in core teams and support service-area management
  • Serve as the regional escalation point for service-delivery issues
  • Communicate business issues and opportunities to management
  • Ensure team compliance with health, safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Vocational/Trade Certificate with preferably 4/6 years related work experience
  • Associate degree with 6 years’ experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology preferred field
  • Associate degree with 6 years’ experience as a biomed in a hospital or medical environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical, or Computer Engineering
  • Project management, presentation, communication, customer service, and data analysis skills
  • Leadership experience, preferably leading teams
  • English verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology/ablation market
  • Ability to travel on short notice, including frequent air travel
  • Must live in short proximity to a major airport
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle with an appropriate license
  • Ability to work weekends and off-hours as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.; frequent standing, lifting, and bending
  • PC proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Knowledge of standard test equipment, including digital voltmeter
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to participate in incident investigations
  • Healthcare vendor credentialing as an employee of BWI
