About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a leadership role across Strategic Programs in Immunology TA, including JNJ-5223 and JNJ-4804 programs
- Work closely with R&D and Commercial organizations to ensure solid governance, decision-making, and execution of pipeline programs
- Collaborate with Compound Development Teams to ensure efficient, lean operation of clinical programs and delivery against efficiency and financial targets
- Manage 2 direct reports
- Provide leadership for key assets
- Support financial consolidation for close, forecast cycles, LRFP and valuations
- Develop strategic analysis for business cases on an ad hoc basis
- Support business development to deliver value-creating deals and competitive insights on the Immunology portfolio
- Implement best-in-class analytics and decision support to transform finance into an insight-driven business accelerator
- Design, develop, enhance, and implement processes that improve efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities across the therapeutic area
- Provide people leadership across direct staff and the global Janssen R&D finance team, including attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Finance or business is required
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance or relevant business experience is required
- Advanced proficiency with common Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint and Excel is required
- Strong skills in storytelling and delivery of powerful presentations of financial content to non-financial audiences are required
- Proven experience in partnering with leaders (business/finance associates) on developing business strategies and influencing at all levels of the organization is required
- Ability to lead teams in a complex, virtual environment and develop those individuals to meet the future needs of the business is required
- At least 2 years of experience in people management is required
- MBA or master’s in Finance/Analytics is preferred
