About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and deploy global operational standards across all distribution center sites
  • Ensure consistency across J&J-owned and 3PL-operated facilities
  • Establish and govern distribution center archetypes, performance expectations, and operating models
  • Monitor adherence and drive standardization across regions
  • Own global standards and governance for site master planning, continuous improvement, HSE, quality, performance management, SLAs, site scorecards, packaging optimization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency
  • Lead internal and external benchmarking and generate industry and competitive insights
  • Develop and deploy Cost-to-Deliver/Serve models and strategies
  • Provide data-driven insights to optimize performance and inform strategic decisions
  • Define and deploy continuous improvement methodologies across the network
  • Establish and lead global communities of practice
  • Act as Global Business Process Owner for Deliver Performance Excellence
  • Own global process governance, standardization, and harmonization
  • Approve global standards and manage deviations or localizations
  • Build and lead a high-performing global team
  • Drive leadership capability, succession planning, and talent development
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and HSE requirements
  • Elevate risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership
  • Support operational excellence and transformation initiatives
  • Travel approximately 25% domestically and internationally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Operations, Operational Excellence, or Distribution/Warehouse Management
  • Proven track record deploying operational standards across global logistics networks
  • Strong experience in benchmarking and performance analytics
  • Strong experience in Cost-to-Serve/Deliver modeling
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Deep expertise in distribution center operations and operational excellence frameworks
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including benchmarking, process mapping, and data mining
  • Experience developing and enforcing global operational standards
  • Knowledge of EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements in logistics environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in a global matrix
  • Ability to drive a continuous improvement culture
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred
  • APICS, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification preferred
  • Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or regulated industries preferred
