About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide regional trade leadership across Latin America, ensuring customs, import/export, and trade-regulation compliance
  • Serve as the primary LATAM contact for global trade operations and supply-chain initiatives
  • Oversee and standardize trade processes, controls, and documentation for consistent execution and audit readiness
  • Monitor trade metrics, identify risks or gaps, and lead corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities
  • Optimize inbound and outbound transportation flows across LATAM
  • Manage third-party and fourth-party logistics providers, including regional Control Tower partners
  • Lead transportation performance measurement and contribute to executive performance reviews
  • Deliver annual cost-improvement and productivity targets while protecting service, quality, reliability, and compliance
  • Translate inventory strategy and business requirements into transportation solutions
  • Support manufacturing-network changes, product launches, and supply-chain transformations
  • Partner with supply chain, quality, finance, and legal teams to enable compliant product movement and resolve issues
  • Represent transportation and trade in supply-chain forums, projects, and sales and operations planning discussions
  • Collaborate with Deliver, distribution operations, and demand and supply planning teams on capacity, reliability, and service commitments
  • Drive transportation cost savings, reliability, logistics-provider service-level performance, customs audit readiness, on-time clearance, and reduced border disruptions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or related field
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, transportation, trade compliance, logistics, or related operational roles
  • Strong working knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and import/export operations within Latin America
  • Expertise in transportation, planning, and carrier/logistics-provider management, including control-tower operating models
  • Analytical skills supporting budgeting, financial reconciliation, and transportation cost-saving identification
  • Understanding of the order-to-cash process and end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Experience partnering with global stakeholders in a matrixed, multinational organization
  • Ability to manage complex operational issues, assess risk, and drive compliant outcomes
  • Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across cultures and geographies
  • English required
  • Up to 25–30% regional and international travel
  • Portuguese and/or Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries preferred
  • Familiarity with global trade systems, transportation management systems, ERP platforms, and trade automation tools preferred
  • Regional or global process standardization experience preferred
  • Exposure to customs audits, investigations, or regulatory inspections preferred
  • Understanding of good distribution practice and a quality-first approach preferred
  • Lean or continuous improvement certification is a plus
  • Awareness of artificial intelligence concepts and responsible/ethical use, with experience generating effective prompts preferred
  • Trade compliance or customs certifications preferred but not required
