About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive development of global lifecycle management strategies for products, families, and systems, including communication and execution plans.
- Ensure alignment of global strategy in cross-functional programs.
- Lead review and approval of marketing materials with regulatory, legal, medical, and clinical affairs partners.
- Ensure promotional and educational materials comply with company policies and procedures.
- Develop relationships with internal cross-functional partners and provide on-site support.
- Respond to requests from customers and sales consultants.
- Collaborate with functional areas and Strategic Partners to address business issues.
- Achieve worldwide business plan objectives for sales, net income, gross profit, inventory, and price; manage expenses within budget.
- Increase the company’s leadership position in the trauma market.
- Support and execute worldwide product launches, including marketing materials, inventory roll-out plans, and sales tools.
- Coordinate with Regional Marketing teams and key countries.
- Contribute to multigenerational portfolio plans aligned to company strategy.
- Partner with R&D and Strategic Alliance counterparts on product development programs.
- Apply understanding of product development, quality, and regulatory processes to ensure on-time launches.
- Provide direction and mentorship to junior DePuy Synthes team members.
- Collaborate with and manage external partner resources and development processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a BA/BS degree or equivalent is required; Business/Marketing/Finance degree preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant business experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare / medical device marketing, sales, finance, or other commercial experience is required.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capability through influencing, including the ability to lead and manage through change is required.
- Track record of success working within a matrixed organizational environment; enterprise mindset decision-making is preferred.
- Excellent understanding of customer, business intelligence and industry trends is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management is preferred.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including use of metrics/numbers to gauge overall performance, is preferred.
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communications skills; excellent organizational skills; ability to make sales presentations with positive results is required.
- Ability to manage stakeholders through communicating, influencing, and providing comprehensive solutions is required.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, including ability to design, structure, and lead projects is required.
- Ability to travel required (~5-10%).
