About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead APAC talent acquisition strategy and delivery aligned with business priorities and workforce strategies
  • Manage and develop TA team members
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR on hiring needs, market insights, talent solutions, and workforce strategies
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across APAC, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Ensure a consistent, inclusive, high-quality candidate experience across EMEA markets
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and analytics to improve speed, quality, and cost of hire
  • Analyze workforce data and market trends to develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans
  • Oversee and coach recruiters and team members
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy standards, and local labor regulations across APAC
  • Drive process optimization, technology enablement, and vendor management
  • Handle local document processing, records management, compliance administration, filings, audits, and Veeva scanning where required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Typically 10 years of progressive talent acquisition experience
  • 5+ years of TA leadership or people-management responsibilities
  • Experience leading regional or multi-market recruitment in APAC
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and ability to influence senior leaders
  • Experience with TA assessment and selection tools
  • Ability to use recruiting data and insights to drive selection decisions and outcomes
  • Experience managing recruiting operations, vendors, and external partners
  • People-leadership, coaching, and change-management capabilities
  • Fluent English required
  • Mandarin Chinese and Japanese strongly preferred
  • Up to ~20% travel, primarily within APAC
  • Talent acquisition or HR certifications preferred but not required
  • Experience recruiting within Orthopaedics preferred; MedTech, Pharma, or Healthcare experience also considered
  • Familiarity with APAC labor markets, hiring practices, and compliance considerations preferred
  • Experience driving employment branding projects preferred
  • Experience driving TA transformation, process improvement, or technology implementation preferred
  • Background working in a global, matrixed organization preferred
