About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the U.S. downstream commercialization strategy for the DePuy Synthes Knee platform
- Own and deliver key marketing workstreams across the primary knee implant portfolio
- Develop clinical marketing materials, evidence summaries, technique differentiation content, and value messaging for the ATTUNE Knee System
- Translate clinical data, biomechanical evidence, and surgical technique differentiators into segment-specific messaging
- Manage content development, agency briefing, creative direction, stakeholder input, and regulatory/legal/medical affairs reviews
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns driving surgeon awareness, trial, adoption, and advocacy
- Develop field enablement tools such as selling guides, competitive battle cards, objection handlers, account targeting resources, and customer engagement playbooks
- Track campaign KPIs, analyze results, and improve tactics
- Lead assigned go-to-market launch workstreams and develop launch deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs and dependencies to ensure launch readiness
- Plan and execute surgeon education programs, cadaver labs, product demonstrations, peer-to-peer events, and fellowship initiatives
- Support KOL engagements and surgeon advisory boards
- Manage society meeting deliverables, including booth content and presentation materials
- Conduct competitive analysis and develop competitive response recommendations
- Lead voice-of-customer research, synthesize findings, and present actionable insights
- Build and maintain market and performance dashboards and deliver business reviews
- Partner with Sales, Upstream Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global Education, R&D, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and regional marketing teams
- Manage project budgets, vendor relationships, and timelines
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and work direction to associate marketing managers
- Contribute to team planning, resource prioritization, and process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- 6+ years of progressive experience in marketing, product management, and/or commercial strategy
- Ability to independently own and deliver marketing programs end-to-end with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical skills, including building performance dashboards, interpreting market data, and translating insights into recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and proactively identify solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong presentation development skills
- Up to 40% domestic travel, including occasional overnights and weekends
- Preferred: experience in medical devices, orthopedics, or related MedTech
- Preferred: Joint Reconstruction marketing or product management experience
- Preferred: clinical evidence interpretation, biomechanical concepts, or outcomes-based messaging experience
- Preferred: familiarity with upstream and downstream marketing disciplines
- Preferred: product launch experience in a competitive medical device market
- Preferred: surgeon education programs, KOL engagement, or society meeting activation experience
- Preferred: pricing, contracting, or health economic value proposition exposure
- Preferred: mentoring or providing work direction to junior team members
- Preferred: ability to work in clinical settings, including operating rooms and cadaver labs
