About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute compliant promotion of Neuroscience portfolio products across outpatient and inpatient sites of care to approved healthcare professionals
  • Directly supervise Sales Specialists within the defined district
  • Develop and implement a coordinated district business plan with targeted objectives to achieve sales and business results
  • Manage, develop, motivate and compensate assigned personnel with proper resource allocation
  • Partner with Neuroscience Sales, Institutional Business Group, Medical Affairs and Neuroscience Marketing functions
  • Lead demand generation with the Sales Specialist team, emphasizing the outpatient setting
  • Lead demand generation and care transitions execution within local community hospitals
  • Provide direction and management oversight for Sales Specialists across Neuroscience promoted brands
  • Maintain expert knowledge of approved clinical and HCC guidelines to develop team skills and competencies
  • Analyze the business, coach on approved sales messages, support territory strategies/business plans and develop team business acumen
  • Establish and support career and development plans for Sales Specialists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • A valid driver’s license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of sales or cross-functional experience in key commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight/weekend travel
  • Ideally lives in the geography or in the southeast near a major airport hub
  • Prior people management experience or completion of a Management Development Program preferred
  • Expertise in high-level planning, organizing and business planning preferred
  • Experience with Neuroscience and/or Schizophrenia disease states preferred
  • Experience in large account management and access & reimbursement preferred
  • Master’s Degree in a related field or an MBA preferred
