About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support clients in the Salt Lake City/Denver territory
- Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned geographies ethically and compliantly
- Identify customer needs, align marketing resources, and support pull-through activities
- Communicate the company’s vision and innovative treatments to improve patient and caregiver outcomes
- Develop product and disease-state knowledge for compliant clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals
- Create local strategic and tactical plans and allocate resources differentially
- Manage territory budgets and expenses
- Drive sales performance and achieve sales forecasts by calling on primarily Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets in person and virtually
- Educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety to support on-label prescribing
- Customize customer discussions and interactions based on needs
- Maintain understanding of local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers
- Share market information with internal stakeholders
- Provide input on regional resource allocation and select appropriate programs and resources
- Provide compliant educational programs for healthcare providers
- Work with the District Manager and key stakeholders to develop and execute a local business plan
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities
- Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
- Accurately manage work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expenses
- Complete assigned company and job-related training within required timelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers
- High integrity and compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, decision-making judgment, teaming/collaboration, and cross-functional skills
- Track record of learning and adapting to an evolving environment
- Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
- Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse customer audience
- Ability to work meetings outside normal working hours
- Ability to undertake occasional overnight travel depending on territory geography
- Ability to undertake periodic domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings
- Previous pharmaceutical, biologics, and/or medical device sales experience preferred
- Antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales experience is a plus
- Learning aptitude toward AI/technology preferred
