About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support clients in the Salt Lake City/Denver territory
- Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned geographies ethically and compliantly
- Understand and identify customer needs, align marketing resources, and support pull-through activities
- Communicate the company vision and value of innovative neuropsychiatric and neurologic treatments
- Build product and disease-state knowledge and conduct compliant clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals
- Call on predominantly Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets in person and virtually
- Educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety to support on-label prescribing
- Develop local strategic and tactical plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets and expenses
- Maintain understanding of local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers
- Share market information with internal stakeholders
- Provide input on resource allocation and select appropriate customer programs and resources
- Provide special education to healthcare providers through compliant programs
- Work with the District Manager and stakeholders to develop and execute a local business plan
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities
- Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
- Manage work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expense reporting
- Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables
- Complete required company and job-related training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience required
- Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
- Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers
- High integrity and compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, decision-making judgment, teaming/collaboration, and cross-functional skills
- Proven track record of learning and adapting to an evolving environment
- Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
- Ability to analyze data and metrics, assess progress against objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
- Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to work meetings outside normal working hours
- Ability to travel overnight depending on territory geography
- Ability to travel domestically to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings periodically
- Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
