About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support clients in the Raleigh, NC territory, including Wake Forest, Durham, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina
  • Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned geographies ethically and compliantly
  • Call on predominantly Primary Care healthcare professional offices and select targets in person and virtually
  • Understand and identify customer needs, align marketing resources, and support pull-through activities
  • Develop product and disease-state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and efficacy/safety profiles
  • Create local strategic and tactical plans and manage resource allocation, budgets, and expenses
  • Maintain knowledge of local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers; share insights with internal stakeholders
  • Select appropriate programs and resources for customers, practices, and systems
  • Provide compliant educational programs for healthcare providers
  • Work with the District Manager and stakeholders to develop and implement local business plans
  • Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
  • Maintain accurate administrative records for work hours, sales calls, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expenses
  • Complete required company and job-related training within specified timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience
  • Previous pharmaceutical, biologics, and/or medical device sales experience preferred
  • Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
  • Passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers
  • High integrity and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial drive, decision-making judgment, teaming/collaboration, and cross-functional skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt in an evolving environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Experience establishing customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours when needed
  • Ability to travel overnight depending on territory geography
  • Ability to travel domestically to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI
