About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned Northern New Jersey geographies ethically and compliantly
  • Call on predominantly Primary Care healthcare professional offices and select targets in person and virtually
  • Develop product and disease-state knowledge
  • Educate and engage healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety
  • Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives and customize customer interactions
  • Operate independently to drive sales performance and meet territory expectations
  • Monitor local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers
  • Share market information with internal stakeholders
  • Provide input on resource allocation and select appropriate programs and resources for customers
  • Provide compliant educational programs to healthcare providers
  • Develop a local business plan with the District Manager and stakeholders
  • Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
  • Maintain accurate administrative records for work hours, sales calls, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expenses
  • Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables
  • Create compliant business plans based on customer needs, resources, and products
  • Complete assigned company and job-related training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience
  • Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
  • Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
  • Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers
  • High integrity and compliance with Company policies and procedures
  • Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial drive, decision-making judgment, teaming/collaboration, and cross-functional skills
  • Track record of learning and adapting to an evolving environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
  • Ability to analyze data/metrics, assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Experience establishing customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work meetings outside normal working hours
  • Ability to travel overnight depending on territory geography
  • Periodic domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI
