About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet or exceed sales expectations within assigned Northern New Jersey geographies ethically and compliantly
- Call on predominantly Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets in person and virtually
- Educate and engage healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety profiles
- Support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients
- Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives and customize customer interactions
- Maintain knowledge of local markets, practice structures, customers, and key influencers
- Share market and customer insights with internal stakeholders
- Provide input into regional resource allocation decisions
- Select and provide appropriate programs and resources for customers, practices, and systems
- Provide special education to healthcare providers through compliant programs
- Develop a local business plan with the District Manager and key stakeholders
- Capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities through strategic-plan execution
- Collaborate with Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II colleagues and share best practices
- Manage accurate administrative reporting of work hours, sales calls, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expenses
- Complete company and job-related training within required timelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience
- Previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
- Antipsychotic and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus
- Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers
- Must act with high integrity and in accordance with Company Compliance policies and procedures
- Strong self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial thirst, decision-making judgment, teaming/collaboration, and cross-functional skills
- Proven track record of success in learning and adapting to an evolving environment
- Ability to adapt to changing telemedicine/virtual environments
- Ability to analyze data/metrics, assess progress against objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities
- Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse customer audiences
- Ability to work meetings outside normal working hours
- Ability to travel overnight depending on territory geography
- Ability to travel domestically to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings periodically
- Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
