About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical education on J&J Innovative Medicine Oncology brands, primarily through PI-based and disease-state education
  • Educate nurses, nurse navigators, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other patient care teams
  • Support patient education through advocacy group requests and patient advocacy meetings
  • Serve as the strategic education leader across academic and community oncology accounts
  • Analyze account dynamics, customer educational objectives, clinical challenges, and market trends
  • Develop, execute, and maintain strategic territory and account educational plans
  • Deliver education through one-to-one presentations, round tables, formal presentations, journal clubs, and book clubs
  • Educate patient care teams on disease-state awareness, patient identification, product clinical profiles, administration, and infusion processes
  • Translate and communicate complex clinical education topics to diverse audiences
  • Document and share clinical insights from customer engagements and professional meetings
  • Attend and provide clinical information or presentations at national, regional, and local meetings
  • Support exhibit booths and displays as required
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners across sales, marketing, Health Policy & Advocacy, Medical Science Liaisons, Janssen Care Path, and other functions
  • Support clinical enhancement of sales training initiatives and field personnel competencies
  • Maintain current knowledge of oncology developments, labeled scientific data, market dynamics, competitive landscape, compliance guidelines, SOPs, and ethical standards
  • Complete administrative requirements, including expense reports and activity documentation, accurately and compliantly
  • Participate in management-assigned projects and performance and development planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active RN license or Advanced Practice degree (Nurse Practitioner/MSN) required
  • OCN/AOCN/AOCNS/or AOCNP certification required
  • 8+ years of work experience required
  • 2+ years post graduate oncology clinical and/or educational experience required
  • Experience with Oncology and/or Hematology products required
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to navigate and discuss complex clinical data
  • Excellent collaboration and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Ability to build comprehensive account educational plans
  • Ability to analyze clinical insights to shape local education strategy
  • Strong teamwork focus and ability to compliantly navigate field partner complexities
  • Above average computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Ability to work a 40-hour week, with occasional additional hours when needed
  • Approximately 70% travel, including overnight travel; additional business travel as required
  • Ability to lift and transport work materials
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must live in the territory or be able to relocate to it; living near a major airport preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience with direct to patient education initiatives preferred
  • Previous industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience introducing new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications a plus
  • Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI preferred
