About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a portfolio of real-world evidence projects based on real-world data
  • Leverage scientific and technological developments to generate research ideas, solutions, and initiatives
  • Conduct end-to-end real-world evidence studies, including research question conceptualization, data feasibility, study design, analysis, programming, and interpretation
  • Analyze and interpret data for urgent internal and external stakeholder requests
  • Ensure quality of study design, execution, publication, models, and tools
  • Create study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and statistical programming deliverables
  • Explain technical methods and results to diverse audiences and partners to support decision-making
  • Ensure real-world evidence generation aligns with regulatory requirements and scientific standards
  • Collaborate with R&D Data, Data Science & AI, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and clinical development in Neuroscience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ph.D. degree, or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as biostatistics, AI Data Science, or Bioinformatics
  • Relevant experience: 2+ years for Ph.D. candidates or 4+ years for master’s degree holders within biopharma companies, RWE consulting firms, or relevant healthcare industries
  • Experience designing and executing studies using real-world healthcare data, including claims, electronic health records, or registries
  • Extensive hands-on experience with data engineering and data analysis
  • Proven track record delivering high-impact data science projects
  • Expert proficiency in either R or Python, SPARQL, and Cypher
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience using predictive technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, or forecasting
  • Familiarity with drug discovery and clinical development processes in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, or specialty ophthalmology
  • Hands-on experience with graph neural networks and related graph machine-learning methods
  • Hands-on bioinformatics experience, including pathway or functional enrichment analysis
  • Preferred: deep neuroscience domain expertise
  • Preferred: experience in multi-omics and large-scale proteomic studies
  • Preferred: experience analyzing large biobanks
  • Preferred: experience integrating multi-modal data for disease understanding and patient subtyping
