About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a portfolio of real-world evidence projects based on real-world data
- Leverage emerging scientific and technological developments to generate research ideas, solutions, and initiatives
- Conduct end-to-end real-world evidence studies, including research questions, data feasibility, study design, analysis, programming, and interpretation
- Analyze and interpret data for urgent requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure quality of real-world evidence study design, execution, and publication
- Ensure quality of models and tools
- Create study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and statistical programming deliverables
- Communicate technical methods and results to diverse audiences and partners to drive decision-making
- Align real-world evidence generation with regulatory requirements and scientific standards
- Collaborate with R&D Data, Data Science & AI strategic partners and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and clinical development in Neuroscience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ph.D. degree, or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as biostatistics, AI Data Science, or Bioinformatics
- 2+ years of relevant experience for Ph.D. holders, or 4+ years for master’s degree holders, within biopharma companies, RWE consulting firms, or relevant healthcare industries
- Experience designing and executing studies using real-world healthcare data, including claims, electronic health records, or registries
- Extensive hands-on experience with data engineering and data analysis
- Proven track record delivering high-impact data science projects
- Expert proficiency in either R or Python, SPARQL, and Cypher
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience with predictive technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, or forecasting
- Familiarity with drug discovery and clinical development processes in one or more of oncology, immunology, neuroscience, or specialty ophthalmology
- Hands-on experience with graph neural networks and related graph machine learning methods
- Bioinformatics experience running and interpreting results in a biological/disease context, including pathway or functional enrichment analysis
