About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to EP/IC physicians and staff on AcuNav™ and SOUNDSTAR™ catheters
- Provide assistance and training on electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment, including the CARTO® System, CARTOSOUND™, CARTOMERGE™, and Stockert RF generator
- Educate customers on electrophysiology products and provide technical and clinical information and in-service training
- Use consultative selling techniques to identify sales opportunities
- Create awareness of electrophysiology solutions and facilitate Territory Sales Manager contact with key decision makers
- Plan and schedule customer case support
- Coordinate with regional teams, Territory Managers, EP Clinical Account Specialists, Ultrasound Clinical Account Specialists, Field Service Engineers, marketing, and field management
- Build and maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators, and hospital staff
- Share best practices with US Field Sales and Service colleagues
- Stay current on product instructions for use, troubleshooting, scientific literature, and new product information
- Respond to requests and solve problems in high-stress environments
- Mentor new electrophysiology commercial team members as requested
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a bachelor's degree, or 4 years of relevant professional work/military experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical echocardiography lab
- Must have and maintain certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in adult or pediatric echocardiography
- Advanced clinical ultrasound and echocardiography knowledge
- Clinical knowledge of healthcare industry, disease states, and therapeutic and institutional trends
- Valid driver's license issued in the United States
- Advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardio imaging
- Technical knowledge of electrophysiology technology and advancements
- Willing and able to travel up to 40% overnight locally, regionally, and nationally, sometimes on short notice
- Ability to work in hospital laboratory settings, attend live patient cases, wear protective gear, work variable hours, and potentially lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strongly preferred: Electrophysiology/Cath Lab or EP/Cardiovascular Device Industry experience
- Strongly preferred: CEPS (IBHRE), RCES, or RCIS certification
- Preferred experience with highly complex technical systems or critical patient care settings
- Effective communication with co-workers and patient care teams
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- Ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights
