About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and execute the Biosense Webster commercial strategy
  • Manage Sales and Clinical personnel and activities to achieve business goals and profitable sales growth
  • Define and manage monthly and annual sales objectives for Regional Sales and Clinical personnel
  • Meet and exceed sales and profit targets for the assigned region
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and execute tactical sales plans, quotas, and account objectives
  • Manage the region’s expense budget
  • Coach and manage Territory Managers and EP/ULS Clinical Account Specialists
  • Oversee regional per diem clinical support, budgets, and customer interactions
  • Develop employee clinical proficiency, certification, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Recruit, develop, retain, and succession-plan regional talent
  • Develop and implement commercial, field training, product, and services marketing strategies
  • Develop customer relationship strategies and maintain relationships with key clinical and commercial customers
  • Drive organizational development and change
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, Technical Services, and Sales Operations on strategic plans
  • Participate in national field-organization projects
  • Create team engagement, motivation, and positive change
  • Ensure adherence to company programs, policies, procedures, healthcare compliance, and health, safety, and environmental practices
  • Assess market conditions and execute competitive strategies to grow regional market share
  • Directly oversee approximately 2–4 Territory Managers and 10–14 Clinical Account Specialists; indirectly oversee Field Service Engineers and third-party per diem clinical support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience in the US medical device industry, or 2 years of prior sales management experience in the healthcare industry required
  • Experience as a field trainer or project leadership required
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% overnight regionally and nationally
  • Ability to work in a laboratory setting near or with heavy equipment
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. and wear protective gear, including lead aprons
  • Adherence to customer protective, safety, and security protocols
  • Advanced computer skills and ability to multitask without direct manager oversight
  • GLP standards knowledge
  • Cardiovascular and electrophysiology industry knowledge and ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications
  • Strong analytical, business communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding business objectives, developing teams and managers, building collaborative relationships, recruiting and retaining talent, and developing commercial strategies
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Ability to develop strategic business plans and market development strategies
  • Experience managing relationships with key opinion leaders and senior hospital administration
