About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and execute the Biosense Webster commercial strategy
- Manage Sales and Clinical personnel and activities to achieve business goals and maximize profitable sales growth
- Define and manage monthly and annual sales objectives for regional Sales and Clinical personnel
- Meet and exceed sales and profit targets
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and execute tactical sales plans, quotas, and account objectives
- Manage the region’s expense budget
- Coach and manage Territory Managers and EP/ULS Clinical Account Specialists
- Oversee regional per diem clinical support, budget, and customer interactions
- Develop employee clinical proficiency, certification, sales, and negotiation skills
- Recruit, develop, retain, and plan succession for regional talent
- Develop and implement commercial, field training, product, and services marketing strategies
- Develop customer relationship strategies and relationships with key clinical and commercial customers
- Drive organizational development and change
- Partner with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, Technical Services, and Sales Operations on strategic plans
- Participate in national field-organization projects
- Build team engagement and motivation while reinforcing Johnson & Johnson Credo values and Biosense Webster culture
- Ensure adherence to company programs, policies, pricing models, expense reporting, compensation, healthcare compliance, and safety procedures
- Assess market conditions and execute competitive strategies to grow regional market share
- Directly oversee approximately 2–4 Territory Managers and 10–14 Clinical Account Specialists
- Indirectly oversee Field Service Engineers and third-party per diem clinical support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of professional work experience required
- Minimum 3 years of Sales or Marketing experience in the US medical device industry, or 2 years of prior Sales Management experience in the healthcare industry required
- Experience as a field trainer or project leadership required
- GLP standards knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong business communication skills and executive presence
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding business objectives
- Proven track record developing teams, people, managers, and collaborative relationships
- Cardiovascular and EP industry knowledge and ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications
- Financial and business acumen
- Ability to develop strategic business plans and market development strategies
- Strong negotiation and customer relationship management skills
- Advanced computer skills and ability to multitask without direct manager oversight
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% overnight regionally and nationally
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting near or with heavy equipment, lift 60 lbs., and wear protective gear including lead aprons
- Adherence to customer protective, safety, and security protocols
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence and clean driving record
- Preference to live within the Central Florida region
- Advanced degree, 2 years of Cardiac Electrophysiology or Cardiovascular industry experience, and capital selling experience preferred
