About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead overall management of Johnson & Johnson Foot & Ankle sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets in the assigned geographic area
  • Lead sales activities to achieve sales goals and objectives while driving customer and patient satisfaction
  • Implement selling strategies and strategic sales plans
  • Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge, clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified, diverse sales professionals across the region
  • Ensure the team uses market data tools for customer targeting, business planning, and pipeline management
  • Provide performance management, mentorship, and career development for the sales team
  • Work with consultants to set and achieve territory objectives while driving patient care and customer satisfaction
  • Lead acquisition of new accounts and surgeon relationships
  • Assist consultants in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies and identify opportunities with key surgeons, accounts, and associations
  • Lead a product portfolio with responsibility for sales, growth, income, profitability, asset management, and budget targets
  • Manage regional business expenses with fiscal responsibility
  • Promote integrity, ethics, compliance, and participation in relevant initiatives, programs, trainings, and activities
  • Follow applicable laws, regulations, compliance program policies, and the Johnson & Johnson Business Code of Conduct

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required in an applicable field such as Business, Marketing, or Finance
  • At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to lead through change
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to make impactful sales presentations
  • Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Strong customer understanding and ability to use customer data to drive the buying process
  • Ability to mentor and develop field sales talent
  • Track record of success in a complex organizational environment and enterprise mentality decision-making
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management with documented sales achievements
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Ability to travel 30%–50%
  • Must live in the current geography or be willing to relocate
  • Foot & Ankle market experience preferred
  • Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program preferred
  • MBA preferred
