About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead overall management of Johnson & Johnson Foot & Ankle sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets within the assigned geographic area
  • Lead sales activities to achieve customer and patient satisfaction and exceed sales goals and objectives
  • Implement selling strategies and strategic sales plans for MedTech Foot & Ankle sales goals
  • Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge, clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified, diverse sales professionals within the region
  • Ensure use of market data tools for customer targeting, business planning, and pipeline management
  • Provide performance management, mentorship, and career development for the sales team
  • Work with consultants to set and achieve territory objectives while driving patient care and customer satisfaction
  • Lead acquisition of new accounts and surgeon relationships
  • Assist consultants in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies and identifying opportunities with surgeons, accounts, and associations
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data, and buying processes
  • Manage a product portfolio against sales, growth, income, profitability, asset management, and budget targets
  • Manage regional business expenses with fiscal responsibility
  • Promote integrity, ethics, compliance, required trainings, and adherence to applicable laws and company policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in an applicable field such as Business, Marketing, or Finance required
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others
  • Previous Foot & Ankle market experience and track record of success preferred
  • Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead through change
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to make impactful sales presentations with positive results
  • Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Strong customer understanding and ability to use customer data to drive the buying process
  • Ability to mentor and develop field sales talent
  • Track record of success in a complex organizational environment and enterprise mentality decision making
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management with documented sales achievements
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Willingness and ability to travel significantly (30%–50%)
  • Must live in the current geography or be willing to relocate
